Are you an experienced and versatile Primary Teacher looking for a 2 day per week PPA cover role in a welcoming Bristol school? This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of ages, build your confidence across different key stages and broaden your classroom experience. We are working with a friendly, community focused primary school in the BS11 area that is seeking a PPA Cover Teacher to work across the school on a long term basis. The school has a warm, inclusive atmosphere, values its staff highly and is looking for someone who can provide high quality teaching and consistency across all year groups.
The Role
- Provide PPA cover across the school from Reception to Year 6
- Teach a variety of subjects and age groups, gaining valuable experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Deliver engaging, well structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Adapt teaching to suit different ages, abilities and classroom routines
- Follow medium and short term planning, with some planning and assessment as required
- Work closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity for pupils
- Maintain excellent classroom management and a positive learning environment in every class
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of this community focused school
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Recent, strong teaching experience across Primary, ideally including a range of year groups
- Confident in quickly building rapport with different classes
- Ability to create a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Flexible, organised and able to adapt to different year groups and routines
- Clear, warm communication skills with staff and pupils
