We are looking for energetic and proactive Teaching Assistants to take on full time 1:1 roles in a Reception class in the BS9 area. This position starts in September and involves working closely with individual children who need additional support to thrive in their learning.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child in Reception
- Helping your pupil access the curriculum and engage with classroom activities
- Supporting social, emotional and communication development
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with your pupil
- Encouraging independence and confidence in a nurturing way
- Supporting your pupil during lessons, break times and transitions throughout the day
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with young children, ideally in EYFS or a school setting
- A proactive and energetic approach
- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
