We are working with a welcoming primary school in BS4 who are seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants for long term roles starting in September. You will be supporting pupils across the school, working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and the wider staff team to help children achieve their full potential. The school has a supportive leadership team, a strong focus on inclusion and a friendly, nurturing environment.
The Role
- Supporting classroom learning and pupil engagement
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
- Assisting with phonics, reading, literacy and numeracy activities
- Supporting children with SEN, SEMH and additional needs
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
- Contributing to a calm, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
We Are Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school or education setting (essential)
- A patient, nurturing and child centred approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiasm, adaptability and a genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
- Experience with SEN, autism, ADHD or SEMH (desirable but not essential)
