Learning Support Assistant (Experienced Candidates Required) Bristol Full-Time Start Date: September 2026

Looking for a role where you can genuinely change a young person's day, week, or even future? I am recruiting on behalf of a number of mainstream secondary schools across Bristol seeking experienced Behaviour Mentors, Learning Support Assistants and Student Support Workers to join their teams. These roles are ideal for individuals who have previous experience working with young people and can build strong relationships, provide consistent support, and help students overcome barriers to learning. Many of the students you will support are bright and capable but may require additional guidance due to behavioural, emotional, social or educational challenges.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Mentor / Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students access education successfully. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting students with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs
  • Helping learners remain engaged and focused in lessons
  • Delivering targeted interventions and mentoring sessions
  • Using positive behaviour strategies to encourage progress
  • Supporting students during unstructured times throughout the school day
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Acting as a positive adult role model for young people
