Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed SEN Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bridgend. This forward-thinking provision supports pupils aged 3–19 with a broad range of Additional Learning Needs, including autism spectrum conditions, communication and learning difficulties, and physical or medical needs. The school also incorporates a dedicated Autism Centre for children and young people with autism and associated communication and learning challenges.

With small class sizes and high levels of staff support, you will be able to provide focused, individualised assistance, helping pupils access learning, build independence, and reach their full potential. Requirements (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)

  • Must be 18 or over
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • At least two professional references covering 24 months of employment
