Teaching Personnel is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Bridgend. This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and challenging behaviour. You will support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to access learning, regulate behaviour, and develop confidence in a structured secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs
  • Provide 1:1 and small group classroom support
  • Manage and support challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons
  • Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Follow and contribute to Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Support pupils during transitions, break times, and interventions
  • Record and report pupil progress and behaviour when required
