Multiple roles available in a SEN School/Mainstream School with ARP unit in Brent. Full-time and part-time roles available with multiple start dates (As soon as possible/October half-term).
Must have previous experience working in SEN.
The school caters for pupils, aged 4-16, with SEND including ASD, HI, SLCN, VI, MLD and Complex Needs. Many pupils struggle with their speech, language and communication and some display challenging behaviours.
As an Autism Support Worker, you will be required to:
- Support pupils throughout the school day
- Support pupils across the specialist provision
- Incorporate the use of senses into learning
- Help pupils to support their speech, language and communication
- Consider the choices, needs and wishes of each pupil and encourage them to make the right choices for learning
The school requires nurturing individuals who can make a positive impact on the pupils. The perfect applicant should be empathetic, an excellent communicator, and compassionate. They should help support the needs of each individual pupil and want to help them achieve their goals.
The school will consider applications from individuals who have previous experience supporting people with SEND, have previous care experience, or those willing to do training on the subject.
