The provision supports a small group of students, primarily with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), offering personalised learning in a nurturing setting while enabling students to access appropriate opportunities within the wider mainstream school community.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, personalised teaching that meets the individual needs of students.
  • Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and external professionals to support students' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our specialist provision and inclusive practice.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has relevant teaching experience.
  • Has experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Conditions, or is keen to develop their expertise in this area.
  • Is committed to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Is adaptable, resilient and able to respond creatively to students' individual needs.
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

We can offer:

  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day.
  • A welcoming and supportive staff team committed to inclusion.
  • Opportunities for high-quality professional development and specialist SEN training.
  • A well-resourced specialist provision within a successful mainstream secondary school.
  • The opportunity to work with a small cohort of students and build meaningful relationships that have a lasting impact.
