This role would particularly suit an experienced primary teacher who is looking to transition into a specialist setting and make a profound difference in the lives of children with additional needs. We provide a nurturing, structured and highly supportive environment for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. Our children thrive with consistency, creativity and adults who truly understand them.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Adapting the primary curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental stages.
  • Leading and managing a team of Teaching Assistants within your classroom.
  • Supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory differences and, at times, challenging behaviour.
  • Creating a calm, safe and nurturing classroom environment where every success is celebrated.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Have experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings).
  • Are confident leading, directing and positively managing support staff.
  • Have a calm, patient and flexible approach.
  • Are committed to inclusive education and believe every child can achieve.

Previous experience in a specialist setting is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate with a genuine passion for SEN and a willingness to learn.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and experienced leadership team.
  • High levels of classroom support.
  • Ongoing professional development and SEN-specific training.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference in a child's educational journey.
