Your Two-Year Journey

Year 1: Cover Supervisor

Your first year will focus on gaining practical experience within a school environment and developing the foundations needed for a successful teaching career.

  • Supervising pupils and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting pupil engagement and achievement.

This year allows you to experience life in the classroom before progressing into teacher training.

  • Develop effective teaching and assessment practices.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
  • Work closely with an experienced mentor.
  • Complete a fully funded PGCE.
  • Work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Prepare for your first role as a qualified teacher.
