Full-Time School Support Staff – Bolton, Wigan, Warrington & Leigh

Pay: Competitive, dependent on role and experience

Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated full-time support staff to work in schools across Bolton, Wigan, Warrington and Leigh. We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable individuals to join a range of settings, including mainstream, SEN, and SEMH-focused provisions.

Roles available include:

  • Teaching Assistants (TAs)
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
  • Cover Supervisors

The roles involve:

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs, including SEMH and SEND
  • Delivering targeted interventions and helping pupils access the curriculum
  • Supporting classroom teachers with lesson preparation, management, and behaviour support
  • Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Supervising classes during teacher absences (for Cover Supervisors)
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience working in a school or educational setting (SEN/SEMH experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Be patient, adaptable and able to support pupils with a range of needs
  • Hold relevant qualifications where applicable (e.g., HLTA accreditation, TA level 2/3)
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
