Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real difference? Teaching Personnel is recruiting a SEN Functional Skills Teacher for a welcoming secondary SEN school in the Bolton area. The school supports students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and communication difficulties.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in English and/or Maths.
  • Adapt learning to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and celebrate achievements.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals to provide the best outcomes for learners.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students and/or SEN learners.
  • Strong knowledge of Functional Skills curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, flexible, and compassionate approach.
