About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a specialist alternative provision to recruit a 1:1 Media Studies Tutor to support a Year 11 female student with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide tailored, engaging tuition in a nurturing environment, supporting a student to achieve their GCSE outcomes and build confidence in their learning.
About the Setting
The provision is situated on a beautiful 5-acre farm in Harwood, between Bolton and Bury, offering a therapeutic and engaging setting for learners:
- A range of animals including goats, alpacas, donkeys, and more, all cared for by students
- Dedicated classroom and food technology spaces
- A stable block and small animal/incubation room
- A forest school area within an orchard featuring an adventure trail, swings, teepee, and fire pit
- A horticulture area where students grow produce used in cookery sessions
This unique environment is designed to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
