Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a rewarding opportunity within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bolton area.

We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Primary SEN Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 4-11 years with a range of additional needs, helping them to flourish both academically and personally.

Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel valued, safe, and confident in their learning journey.

• You will be supporting children with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Sensory processing difficulties

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support pupils' academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
• Promote positive behaviour, self-regulation, and resilience.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in school life.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in education, care, youth work, or support roles.
• Understanding of SEND, particularly ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.
• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
• Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
