A welcoming and community-driven primary school in BL4 is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time position starting in September, covering the Autumn, Winter, and Spring terms.

The Role

In this role, you will provide vital support across Key Stage 1, helping to ensure pupils feel secure, encouraged, and confident in their learning. Working closely with the class teacher, you will contribute to a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of classroom activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting daily classroom routines
  • Assisting pupils with additional and special educational needs, adapting support to individual requirements
  • Promoting a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Developing positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experienced working with children, ideally within a primary or KS1 setting
  • Warm, approachable, and passionate about supporting children’s development
  • Confident supporting a range of SEN needs, with a flexible and patient approach
  • A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
  • Committed to child-centred and inclusive practice
