An opportunity has arisen for a practical and reliable individual to join a supportive team in a technical support role. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of materials and components including wood, metal, plastics and electronics, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of tools and machinery used within the workspace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and clearing away equipment and resources
  • Ensuring learning environments are safe, well organised and engaging
  • Managing stock levels and replenishment
  • Carrying out routine machinery maintenance
  • Maintaining accurate records relating to equipment safety

There will also be occasions where the role involves supporting students individually or in small groups. The role requires someone who is well organised, proactive and capable of working independently. Experience or knowledge of resistant materials gained through professional or informal settings would be advantageous. Familiarity with Design Technology or Engineering is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

The post holder will be expected to model the organisation’s values and ethos, contributing to an environment where learners are supported to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
