We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing team. In this role, you will work closely with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs, providing tailored 1–1 support to help them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with individual learning plans, behaviour plans, and EHCP targets.
  • Support pupils during classroom activities, transitions, and break times.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure consistent, effective support.
  • Promote independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working in care, support work, or a similar people-focused role.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and confident working with children with additional needs.
  • Has good communication skills and can build trusting relationships.
  • Is adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to use initiative.
  • Is willing to learn and develop through training and guidance.
