Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackpool who are seeking a General KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role will initially be temporary, with a strong view to becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful Teaching Assistant will be required ASAP, working for the remainder of this academic year and continuing into September 2026.

  • Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 in the classroom
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress and social development
  • Have experience working within KS1 (school-based experience preferred)
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Be reliable, proactive and flexible in their approach
  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
