Teaching Personnel are looking for a Level 2 or above qualified Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Blackpool. This is a specialist role supporting a child in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and challenging behaviour, so we’re seeking someone patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC and behavioural needs.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
- Create a safe, supportive environment where the child can thrive.
What we’re looking for:
- Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children with ASC and/or challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, proactive approach.
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
