We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working with Key Stage 2 pupils at our welcoming primary school in Blackburn. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for KS2 pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
- Support pupils’ learning, emotional regulation and social development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies and IEPs
- Help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils both in the classroom and during unstructured times
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or alternative settings)
- Is patient, caring and resilient
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
- Holds relevant qualifications or experience (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
