Join Our Early Years Team
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their education and helping every child reach their full potential.
The Role
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Deliver high-quality phonics sessions to individuals and small groups, supporting children to develop early reading and writing skills.
- Provide targeted support for children with additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement strategies, interventions, and individual support plans.
- Promote children's confidence, independence, communication, and social development.
- Observe and record children's progress, contributing to assessments and learning journeys.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience of working within an EYFS setting.
- Experience of delivering phonics interventions and supporting early reading development.
- Experience of supporting children with EHCPs and a good understanding of inclusive practice.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable).
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, nurturing, and positive approach, with high expectations for every child.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
