A rewarding opportunity is becoming available from the end of June for an experienced and qualified SEND Teacher to lead provision within a specialist Enhanced Learning Provision within a mainstream primary school. This role will initially be offered with strong potential for a longer-term or permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role

The Enhanced Learning Provision currently supports 5 high-needs pupils and is staffed by 2 additional support adults. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEND professional who can lead and develop high-quality provision tailored to pupils with complex needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead teaching and learning within the provision
  • Deliver personalised and engaging SEND provision
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils with communication, interaction, and sensory needs

Essential Experience & Training

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have significant experience working within SEND settings
  • Have knowledge and training in approaches such as:
  • Intensive Interaction
  • Bucket Time
  • Communication and interaction strategies
  • Are confident supporting pupils with high and complex needs
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour regulation and relationship-building skills

    There is strong potential for this position to become permanent, particularly as the school is currently progressing an application with the Local Authority to establish a specialist resource base. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner looking to make a meaningful impact within a growing specialist provision.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
