Are you a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant or Nursery Practitioner with a passion for supporting young children in their early development? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a friendly and nurturing nursery school in the Selly Oak area to recruit a committed EYFS Level 3 Support Staff / Teaching Assistant. This role is agency-based initially and will run until the end of the academic year, with a strong likelihood of a permanent contract for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and experienced within an EYFS setting, and who is keen to make a real difference during these crucial early years.
Responsibilities
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
- Have previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
- Have a good understanding of SEN and inclusive practice
- Be nurturing, patient, and committed to supporting children's wellbeing and development
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow the EYFS framework
Key roles and responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning through play-based and creative activities
- Providing 1:1 support and working with small groups where required
- Assisting with interventions and targeted support
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development
- Helping to maintain strong communication between school and home
- Supporting the class teacher and contributing to a positive learning environment
