Teaching Personnel are seeking resilient, empathetic, and motivated Graduate Teachers to support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs, and behavioural challenges in our partner schools and alternative provisions. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build specialist experience before pursuing careers in teaching, educational psychology, behaviour intervention, youth work, or SEND support.

As a Graduate Teacher, you will:

  • Support pupils with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, and behavioural difficulties
  • Deliver structured interventions, de-escalation strategies, and emotional regulation activities
  • Lead small-group or 1:1 sessions to re-engage learners and support academic progress
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to help students overcome barriers to learning
  • Work closely with SENCOs, behaviour leads, pastoral teams, and external agencies
  • Contribute to behaviour plans, risk assessments, and personalised learning programmes
  • Encourage positive routines, attendance, and engagement

A recent graduate (Psychology, Criminology, Education, Sport, Sociology, or related fields advantageous)

  • Calm, patient, and able to remain composed in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for supporting young people with complex needs
  • Any experience in mentoring, youth work, support work, care, or coaching is beneficial
