Are you a qualified secondary teacher with experience supporting pupils with SEMH and complex needs? If you’re calm, resilient, and committed to inclusive, relationship-based practice, we’d love to hear from you. As a Teacher in our SEMH provision, you’ll be a key part of a multidisciplinary team from day one. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning that meets both academic and emotional needs, helping pupils to regulate, re-engage with education, and develop the skills they need for life beyond school. You’ll be supported through strong leadership, collaboration with pastoral and therapeutic staff, and ongoing professional development.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, trauma-informed teaching that meets the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of pupils with SEMH and complex needs.
- Plan and lead differentiated lessons, including small-group and 1:1 interventions, to support progress and re-engagement with learning.
- Build strong, consistent, and trusting relationships with pupils, using restorative and relational approaches.
- Work closely with pastoral, therapeutic, and support staff to implement personalised strategies and behaviour support plans.
- Create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe and supported.
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, reports, and multi-agency meetings.
- Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and pastoral support.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified secondary teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in SEMH and complex needs.
- A resilient, reflective practitioner who remains calm and consistent in challenging situations.
- Strong behaviour management skills rooted in empathy and understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- An excellent communicator who can work effectively with pupils, families, and professionals.
- A commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils to achieve both academically and emotionally.
- Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
