As a 1:1 Support Worker, you will be supporting a primary‑aged pupil who requires additional guidance with their learning, confidence, and emotional development. Building a trusting relationship will be key, as well as working closely with staff to create a consistent and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a positive, trusting, and supportive relationship with the pupil you are working 1:1 with.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and the SENDCo to deliver consistent strategies.
- Support the pupil in engaging with their learning, developing confidence both academically and socially.
- Provide consistency and reassurance throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Implement tailored strategies to improve focus, emotional regulation, and engagement.
- Reflect on your own practice and identify clear actions for ongoing development.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children, ideally in a support or 1:1 capacity.

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
