About the role
We are excited to announce that we are currently working with a warm and welcoming Catholic primary school based in Birkenhead who are looking for a 1:1 TA to join their staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey, while also developing their own skills and experience. Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil within a nurturing school environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities and communication strategies.
  • Support the pupil’s academic progression, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with implementing personalised support plans, including sensory needs and alternative communication methods.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school’s values of compassion, respect, and care.
  • Contribute to wider classroom activities as needed, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.

Experience in similar roles such as support work with children.
Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
An understanding, patient and child-focused approach.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Minimum Qualification of GCSE C grade or Equivalent.
