We are recruiting for a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil in Everton (L3). This is a temporary position covering a staff absence and will run until the end of the academic year. The school is highly praised for its strong SENCO and Headteacher.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, focusing on academic, social, and developmental progress.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans and effective support strategies.
  • Assist in preparing and adapting learning materials to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
  • Help maintain an inclusive, organised, and positive classroom environment, supporting the wider class where needed.
  • Use appropriate behaviour management approaches to promote positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.

  • All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
  • This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
