We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Intervention Lead to support students’ progress in Maths and English through targeted small-group interventions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about raising attainment, building confidence, and supporting students who need additional help to succeed. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, the SEN team, and pastoral colleagues to deliver high-quality intervention programmes that address gaps in learning and support academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver targeted small-group interventions in Maths and English
  • Support students across Key Stages (3/4 – amend as appropriate) to improve attainment and confidence
  • Use assessment data to identify students in need of intervention and track progress over time
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND and disadvantaged students
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to reinforce classroom learning
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of interventions
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly in Maths and/or English
  • A good standard of education, including strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience delivering interventions or small-group teaching (desirable)
  • An understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to overcome them
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
