Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher with a passion for outdoor learning? A specialist secondary setting for students aged 11–16 is seeking a dedicated SEN KS3 Teacher & Horticulture Lead to join its team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, monitor student progress, contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews, and work closely with families and colleagues to support every student's development and wellbeing.

Alongside your classroom responsibilities, you will lead horticulture and outdoor learning activities, encouraging students to build practical skills, confidence, teamwork, and a love of learning beyond the traditional classroom.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • A passion for inclusive education and supporting students with a range of additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.

Desirable experience includes:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience delivering Forest School, horticulture, or other outdoor education programmes.
  • Knowledge of supporting students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and associated learning needs.
