Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting SEN Teachers and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of specialist educational settings throughout West Yorkshire. We work with SEN schools, SEMH provisions, alternative provisions, PMLD settings, and specialist schools supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a variety of additional needs.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons and interventions
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Lead small groups, whole-class sessions, or provide targeted 1:1 support
  • Work collaboratively with teaching, therapy and support staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA qualification, or significant relevant experience
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

Desirable

  • Experience within SEN, SEMH, PMLD or alternative provision settings
  • Team Teach training
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
