We are currently recruiting Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEMH, behaviour challenges, and additional needs across primary, secondary, and specialist settings in Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, and Leeds. You will be working closely with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them to regulate, engage with learning, and build positive relationships within school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, trauma, and emotional regulation needs
  • Implementing behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
  • Backgrounds in education, care, youth work, support work, or SEN welcomed
  • Calm, patient, and resilient individuals
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
