Are you calm under pressure and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? A secondary school in Brecon is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team, supporting students with challenging behaviour in a structured, nurturing environment.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis in a behaviour-focused provision
- Help students regulate emotions, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive coping strategies
- Act as a consistent, trusted role model to promote behaviour improvement
- Deliver structured interventions and assist with daily routines
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to maintain a calm and safe learning environment
Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, sports coaching, care, or similar)
- A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting pupil development
- Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly and constructively
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- EWC registration (we can support you with this)
£89.38 per day, paid weekly via PAYE (no umbrella companies!)
