Are you calm under pressure and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? A secondary school in Brecon is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team, supporting students with challenging behaviour in a structured, nurturing environment.

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis in a behaviour-focused provision
  • Help students regulate emotions, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive coping strategies
  • Act as a consistent, trusted role model to promote behaviour improvement
  • Deliver structured interventions and assist with daily routines
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to maintain a calm and safe learning environment

Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs (school, youth work, sports coaching, care, or similar)

  • A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting pupil development
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations calmly and constructively
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • EWC registration (we can support you with this)

£89.38 per day, paid weekly via PAYE (no umbrella companies!)
