- Behaviour Specialist to work within a range of
- SEN and SEMH schools across
Chorley and Skelmersdale . This role is ideal for individuals with experience in education, youth work, residential care, mental health support, or behavioural intervention.
The Role
As a Behaviour Specialist, you will
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and individual behaviour plans.
- Act as a positive role model, helping students develop emotional regulation and coping skills.
- Support students who may display challenging behaviour, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, or difficulties with social interaction.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- What We\'re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours, SEN, or SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, resilient and patient approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
