About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Specialist to support pupils within SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools in Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support. Working closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted behaviour support strategies for students with SEMH needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Support the implementation of behaviour management plans and risk assessments
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil behaviour and progress
- Support de-escalation and promote emotional regulation techniques
