We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialist Behaviour and Support Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them engage positively with their education and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural needs.
- Develop and implement individualized behaviour support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
- Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Deliver training and support to staff on behaviour management strategies.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with secondary school students with behavioural needs.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding children. We conduct safeguarding checks on all workers in line with DfE guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education,' which may include online searches as part of our due diligence. We offer free child protection and prevent duty training to all registered candidates. All candidates must have or undertake a valid enhanced DBS check, with full assistance provided.
