About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Specialist Teacher to work across a variety of secondary schools in Northumberland. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons, inspiring students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student progress in line with the national curriculum
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage participation in physical activity both within lessons and extracurricular activities
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Experience teaching PE within UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
