Are you a calm, resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs? A supportive and inclusive primary school in Bedford is seeking an experienced SENH Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 4. This long-term role runs through to the end of the summer term and is focused on building trust, consistency, and emotional regulation for the pupil. This role would suit someone who is patient, emotionally resilient, and confident supporting pupils with SENH needs within a Key Stage 2 setting. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and provide a stable, reassuring presence throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with SENH needs
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
