Teaching Personnel Liverpool & Wirral are currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a number of our partnership secondary schools across the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact on the education and development of secondary-aged students with additional learning needs.
The Role
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within mainstream secondary school settings.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom.
- Assisting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support strategies.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping students engage with learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEN Support Worker.
- Experience supporting young people with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
- Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
