We are pleased to be working with a welcoming and supportive school near Beaminster who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil with special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child at a key stage of their educational journey, helping them build confidence, independence and readiness for transition. The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with SEN
- Support learning across the curriculum, adapting activities to meet individual needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Help develop independence and confidence, particularly in preparation for secondary transition
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable, not essential)
