Teaching Personnel is working closely with several secondary schools across Northumberland to recruit Sports Coaches and graduates with sports related degrees who are interested in building a career within education.
These roles are ideal for individuals with a background in Sport Science, Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Development, or similar, who are looking to gain school based experience, support young people, and explore potential pathways into teaching, PE instruction, pastoral roles, or behaviour support.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils during PE lessons and practical sports activities
- Providing classroom support as a Teaching Assistant alongside subject teachers
- Delivering small group or one to one interventions using sport as engagement
- Supporting behaviour, motivation, and positive attitudes to learning
- Assisting with extracurricular clubs, enrichment activities, and sports fixtures
- Upholding safeguarding standards and school policies at all times
