As our Behaviour Support Officer, you will
- Support students whose behaviour impacts their learning and progress
- Build positive relationships with vulnerable and challenging students
- Deliver targeted behaviour interventions and mentoring sessions
- Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Work alongside teaching staff to promote positive behaviour across the school
- Monitor behaviour, attendance and engagement data
- Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies
- Help students develop self-regulation, resilience and confidence
- Contribute to safeguarding and student wellbeing initiatives
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion and high expectations
- Has experience working with young people in education, youth services or community settings
- Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Builds positive relationships quickly and effectively
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is passionate about supporting student wellbeing and achievement
- Demonstrates resilience, empathy and a solution-focused approach
- Understands behaviour management and restorative practices
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
