Personalised Education That Makes a Lasting Impact. TP Tutors is seeking experienced and empathetic SEN Tutors across Portsmouth to deliver high-quality, face-to-face tuition in Maths, English, or Science. This role is centred on structured, 1:1 support for learners with additional needs. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and make meaningful academic progress. We work with students of all ages, from Early Years through to GCSE (KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4).

Role Overview:

  • Position: SEN Tutor – Core Subjects
  • Location: Portsmouth (home and community settings)
  • Hours: Flexible, with a minimum of 3 days per week during school hours (Monday to Friday)

Please note: This is a fully in-person role. We are not currently recruiting for online tutors. All sessions are delivered on a 1:1, face-to-face basis. We do not offer after-school, weekend, or half-term tuition.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons aligned with EHCP targets
  • Adapting teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH requirements
  • Strengthening core skills and addressing gaps in learning
  • Monitoring progress and producing clear, concise reports

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
  • Experience supporting SEN learners in an educational or tutoring setting
