Support Young People in a Secondary SEN School

Teaching Personnel are recruiting passionate and resilient Teaching Assistants to work within a secondary school in Barry supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students aged 11–16 who require additional support with learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing, within a structured and nurturing school environment.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed both academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting students with behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Assisting teachers in delivering adapted, engaging lessons
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and progress
