We're looking for an Autism Support Mentor to join a truly special Autism Resource Base within a welcoming secondary school. Although the base is located on the school site, you'll work entirely within the dedicated ASD provision, creating a calm, nurturing and supportive environment for young people aged 11-16. This isn't a typical secondary school setting. The Autism Base offers a peaceful, structured environment where relationships come first, anxiety is understood, and every small achievement is celebrated.
Whether you're a Psychology graduate, have studied Education, Sociology, Health & Social Care, Criminology, Childhood Studies or simply have experience supporting young people, we'd love to hear from you.

- You’ll become a trusted adult for pupils with Autism who may also experience anxiety and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Many students follow an adapted curriculum, with some working at a primary level, while others are supported all the way through to GCSEs. Every day is varied, meaningful and full of opportunities to build confidence and independence.

Previous Teaching Assistant experience is not essential. If you’ve worked with children or teenagers through schools, youth work, coaching, care, tutoring, mentoring or similar settings, we’d love to hear from you. Psychology graduates are particularly encouraged to apply!

- Start Date: 1st September (subject to vetting checks)
- Hours: Monday-Friday | 08:15am-3:15pm
- Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only
