Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming local primary school to recruit a committed Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher to start as soon as possible. Role Details

  • Position: EYFS Teacher
  • Location: Barnstaple
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: £130 – £150 per day (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Contract: Part time (with potential for long-term or permanent placement)

About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons within the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress through EYFS assessment practices
  • Encourage learning through play and child-led activities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and parents/carers
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within EYFS in UK primary schools or nursery settings (including placements)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
