Barnsley | September 2026 – February 2027 | Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Barnsley from September 2026 until February 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive school environment where pupil development and inclusive learning are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be highly desirable, as the school prides itself on providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all learners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with national curriculum expectations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote positive outcomes for pupils.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to behaviour management.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing.
  • SEN experience is desirable and would be advantageous for this role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • ECTs with relevant KS2 placement experience are welcome to apply.
