We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bacup from September. This role will involve supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1, working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality learning support and help children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily phonics groups and oversee assessment and progress tracking for your group
- Support reading development through daily readers and targeted reading interventions
- Work with both higher-achieving pupils and children working towards age-related expectations
- Assist teachers with classroom set-up, behaviour management and pupil progress
- Provide engaging and supportive learning experiences across EYFS and KS1
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience working within a school setting (essential)
- Experience supporting EYFS or KS1 pupils (essential)
- Confidence delivering phonics interventions
- Knowledge of the Little Wandle phonics scheme (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, nurturing and proactive attitude
