We are currently recruiting for an experienced, fully qualified teacher to join a welcoming and supportive 1-form entry primary school in Bacup. This exciting opportunity is for an EYFS / KS1 mixed class, making it ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of Early Years and Key Stage 1 pedagogy.
The school is looking for someone with a real passion for early reading and phonics, with experience delivering Read Write Inc. (RWI) highly desirable. The role will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential to secure a permanent contract with the school from September 2027.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Have recent experience teaching in EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and early learning
- Have proven experience delivering high-quality phonics sessions, ideally using Read Write Inc. (RWI)
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire young learners
- Use assessment effectively to support pupil progress and attainment
- Create a nurturing, stimulating and well-organised classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential
