Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism to reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Speke. Job Description:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism and additional needs.
  • Implement tailored strategies to promote communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure inclusive learning.
  • Support pupils in both classroom and non-classroom settings, adapting resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and communication methods (e.g., PECS, visual timetables).
  • Patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and families.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
